POSITION TITLE: Consumer Marketing Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Consumer Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing the marketing and promotion of Diamond’s various consumer activities including websites, social media, e-newsletters and consumer centric outreach efforts. The position reports directly to the Director of Marketing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee online, e-newsletter and social media efforts for the company directed towards end comic shop and pop-culture enthusiast consumers.
- Manage staff for both online, e-newsletter, and print communications.
- Responsible for content management of various websites (previewsworld.com, comicshoplocator.com, kidscomics.com, toychestnews.com).
- Work with Diamond’s Web Development team and other departments to produce effective web communications to consumers.
- Coordinate and manage Diamond social media efforts to consumers via Facebook, Twitter, and other outlets.
- Coordinate and manage various weekly, monthly e-newsletters to consumers.
- Write news and feature articles for various online, social media, and print vehicles.
- Develop promotions and giveaways to engage consumers and grow various email/online/social media efforts.
- All other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 2-3 years of professional marketing experience, with some management involved.
- Knowledge of back-end content management systems for website creation.
- Social marketing skills via Facebook and Twitter.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Knowledge of comics and related subjects is preferred.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
- Knowledge of Windows-based computers and programs (Microsoft Excel and Word is essential).
- Willing to work overtime as needed.
