POSITION SUMMARY:
Diamond Comic Distributors, Inc. is seeking an aggressive sales representative with a background in Action Figures & Collectibles and/or Comic Books/Graphic Novels for this entry level position. The Pop Culture Sales Representative’s primary focus is to expand Diamond Comic Distributor’s (DCD) sales of action figures, toys, and collectibles to retailers who are outside of the comic book specialty market. This includes increasing the order activity of active accounts, prospecting for new accounts, and renewing our relationships with those accounts that have not recently ordered. Additional responsibilities include product presentations, forecasting, and sales data analysis. Qualified candidates must be well informed in the world of pop culture.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Call on assigned DCD customers on a regular basis
- Build relationships and sales of new and established retailer accounts
- Review Diamond merchandise to solicit the best products for each assigned customer on a monthly basis
- Inform customers of the advantages of buying from Diamond, establishing DCD as a competitive distribution choice for each retailer
- Account retention – call dormant accounts, renew their relationships with DCD
- Utilize product knowledge and retailer feedback to recommend inventory positions.
- All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- High School diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
- One plus years sales/customer service experience
- Must be computer literate. Data Entry and typing skills required. (Outlook, Excel, Word and Access for Windows preferred).
- Enthusiastic, outgoing personality
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of or ability to learn about toys and other collectibles
- Knowledge of Diamond Comic Distributors services and procedures is a plus
- Must be able to perform well under pressure
