POSITION TITLE: Sales Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sales Manager is responsible for all facets of national accounts management, from sales to co-op promotional marketing, as well as managing key publisher relations. This position requires some travel, the ability to self-motivate, a professional demeanor, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and excellent problem solving skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Selling graphic novels, prose, games and toys to key national accounts and working with them on co-op promotional opportunities
- Regular communication with publishers to proactively meet their needs, help to resolve issues and keep an open form of dialogue
- Track and analyze retailer sales
- Track and analyze co-op promotions
- Assist at various trade shows and conventions
- All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Minimum college degree or equivalent
- Computer skills a must, knowledge of Outlook and Excel required
- Knowledge of book market industry required
- Excellent verbal and written communication required
- Sales experience a plus
- Knowledge of DBD services, policies and systems a plus
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
