POSITION TITLE: Merchandise Team Administrator

DEPT:  Purchasing

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for the timely and accurate collection, management, and dissemination of product information for the Purchasing Merchandise Department Brand Managers. In the role of the Merchandise Team Administrator, the qualified candidate will act as a central liaison to the Vendors coordinating solicitation material and tracking product delivery status as well as researching late shipments and missing product information. The Merchandise Team Administrator will also aid the Brand Manager in researching queries and communicating product information including changes in product specs, status and availability to supporting Diamond departments including Marketing and Sales.   

                                                 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage vendor product submission entry and maintain data accuracy both internally and on information feeds to retailers
  • Work extensively with Excel, Word, and Access creating weekly and monthly reports for the Merchandise Team, and completing data entry responsibilities
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to coordinate and prepare Sales Materials, including overseeing the preparation monthly data sets such as the Opportunity Buy list
  • Manage entering and filing of product Testing Documents
  • Assist in the tracking and research of items in danger of exceeding shipping cancel dates parameters of our purchase order guidelines
  • Work with Traffic Manager and AR Manager to monitor and track FOB imports
  • Act as liaison with vendors, distribution centers, and internal departments, which may include scheduling and follow up correspondence
  • Assist in the preparation of shipments for trade shows, conventions, etc.
  • Coordinate Vendor Appointments for Brand Managers
  • All other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong organizational skills and deadline driven
  • Knowledge of Excel and Access is a plus
  • MCBA software experience a plus
  • Product knowledge a plus
  • Must be able to work independently
