POSITION:  Operations Manager

LOCATION:  Alliance East Warehouse – Pikesville, Maryland

DATE:  August, 2016

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary function of the Operations Manager is to oversee the warehouse staff and ensure that all daily orders are processed efficiently and effectively in a pick/pack operation.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage warehouse staff to ensure established SOPs are being followed.
  • Shift staff as priorities change throughout the day.
  • Monitor employee productivity.
  • Responsible for daily receiving and shipping.
  • Fulfill Company objectives; including but not limited to ensuring that every customer order ships the same day it is received.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the warehouse.
  • Produce bi-annual reviews for warehouse staff.
  • May be required to open and/or close the warehouse.
  • Assume responsibility for warehouse when General Manager is out.
  • Train new personnel on picking/packing/checking/billing/shipping procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Some College strongly preferred.
  • Managerial/supervisory experience required.
  • Schedule flexibility is necessary.  Occasional weekend work may be required.
  • Must be computer literate. (Outlook, Excel, Word preferred).
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing personality.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to perform well under pressure.
  • Pick Pack experience preferred.
  • Familiar with scanning technology
