Top 25 Toys: December 2012
Sporting the new costume from the pages of the "New 52," the Justice League: Superman Action Figure from DC Collectibles was the best-selling toy product to comic book specialty retailers in December. DC Collectibles had a strong month in December with four products in the top ten including the DC Comics Cover Girls: Harley Quinn Statue at #2, the "We Can Be Heroes" Justice League Box Set (November's top selling toy product) at #4, and the Dark Knight Returns Action Figure Box Set at #8.
Diamond Select Toys had two products in the top ten — the Marvel Select: Barbarian Hulk Action Figure at #4 and the Marvel Select: Storm Action Figure at #9.
Also with two products in the top ten was Hong Kong manufacturer Enterbay — The Dark Knight: Batman HD Masterpiece Figure ranked #5 and The Dark Knight: The Joker HD Masterpiece Figure ranked #6.
Rounding out the top ten were Kotobukiya with the DC Comics: Power Girl Bishoujo Statue at #7 and Bowen Designs with the Spider-Man Red Musuem Statue at #10.

Data for Diamond’s sales charts — which include the monthly market shares and all top product charts — are compiled by Diamond Comic Distributors from a universe of over 3,500 accounts, comprised of comic book specialty shops and other merchant stores and buyers. The shops are primarily located in North America, with a percentage of sales also to international stores and buyers located throughout the world. The account base includes not only brick-and-mortar comic book specialty shops, but also Internet stores, chain stores, and other specialty stores.
Unit and dollars sales are calculated based upon orders invoiced and shipped to Diamond accounts during any given month, minus any copies that are distributed free of cost.
