Based on this summer's blockbuster film from director Marc Webb, WizKids/NECA's Marvel HeroClix: The Amazing Spider-Man Gravity Feed Boosters were the best-selling game product to direct market retailers in January.
WizKids/NECA had the top five best-selling products in January and seven of the top ten. The DC HeroClix: Batman Booster Brick ranked #2, the Pathfinder Battles: Shattered Star Booster Brick ranked #3, the Star Trek Tactics HeroClix Series II Boosters ranked #4, and the DC HeroClix: Batman: Streets of Gotham Boosters ranked #5.
Z-Man Game's The Walking Dead Board Game, based on the best-selling comic book from Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard, ranked #6 for the month.
Fantasy Flight Publishing's Star Wars: The Living Card Game Core Set ranked #8. Wizards of the Coast's Magic the Gathering TCG: Return to Ravnica Booster Packs ranked #8.

How does Diamond calculate the charts? It all starts at the comic book shop.
Data for Diamond’s sales charts – which include the monthly market shares and all top product charts – are compiled by Diamond Comic Distributors from a universe of over 3,500 accounts, comprised of comic book specialty shops and other merchant stores and buyers. The shops are primarily located in North America, with a percentage of sales also to international stores and buyers located throughout the world. The account base includes not only brick-and-mortar comic book specialty shops, but also Internet stores, chain stores, and other specialty stores.
Unit and dollars sales are calculated based upon orders invoiced and shipped to Diamond accounts during any given month, minus any copies that are distributed free of cost.
