Top 25 Games: June 2013
Designed for retailers' HeroClix tournaments within their stores, NECA/WizKids' Marvel HeroClix: Fear Itself Month 2 Organized Play Kit, based on the Marvel Comics crossover event, was the best-selling games product to direct market retailers in June.
In total, NECA/WizKids had seven of the month's top ten best-selling products. The DC HeroClix: Man of Steel release took four of those spots — the gravity feed display ranked #3, the Starter Set ranked #4, the Mini Game ranked #7, and the Marquee Figure ranked #7. Also in the top ten were the Lord of the Rings HeroClix: The Fellowship of the Ring at #5 and the Pathfinder Battles Builder Series: We Can Be Goblins at #10.
Wizards of the Coast had two products in the top ten — the Magic the Gathering TCG: Modern Masters Booster Packs ranked #2 and the Magic the Gathering TCG: Dragon's Maze Boosters ranked #9.
Rounding out the top ten, Cryptozoic Entertainment's The Walking Dead Board Game, based on AMC's top-rated television series, ranked #6.
Hasbro's Risk Legacy, a new version of the venerable game that features multi-game gameplay mechanics, returned to the top of the sales charts for the first time since October as March's top-selling games product to comic book specialty retailers.
Other publishers in the top ten include Fantasy Flight Publishing, Konami Digital Entertainment, Wizards of the Coast, WizKids/NECA, and Z-Man Games.

How does Diamond calculate the charts? It all starts at the comic book shop.
Data for Diamond’s sales charts – which include the monthly market shares and all top product charts – are compiled by Diamond Comic Distributors from a universe of over 3,500 accounts, comprised of comic book specialty shops and other merchant stores and buyers. The shops are primarily located in North America, with a percentage of sales also to international stores and buyers located throughout the world. The account base includes not only brick-and-mortar comic book specialty shops, but also Internet stores, chain stores, and other specialty stores.
Unit and dollars sales are calculated based upon orders invoiced and shipped to Diamond accounts during any given month, minus any copies that are distributed free of cost.
