Based on the Back to the Future film trilogy, Diamond Select Toys' Back to the Future Monopoly, a custom edition of the venerable board game, was December's best-selling games product.
IDW Publishing had two titles among the top ten; the Machi Koro Card Game ranked #2 and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shadows of the Past Board Game ranked #8.
BOOM! Studios' Mouse Guard Roleplaying Game Boxed Set (Second Edition) ranked #3.
Exploding Kittens' Exploding Kittens Card Game placed twice in the top ten: the NSFW Edition ranked #4 and the Original Edition ranked #5.
The Pandemic: Iberia Board Game from Z-Man Games ranked #6.
PSI's Batman: The Animated Series Dice Game ranked #9.

Data for Diamond’s sales charts — which includes the monthly market shares and all top product charts — are compiled by Diamond Comic Distributors from sales made to thousands of comic book specialty shops located in North America and around the world. Additional sales made to online merchants and other specialty stores may be included as well.
Unit and dollar market shares are calculated based upon orders for comic books, graphic novels, and magazines invoiced and shipped to Diamond customers during any given month, which comprises pre-orders, advance reorders, and reorders, minus any copies that are distributed free of cost.
