Diamond Expanding Olive Branch Operations

Article ImageDiamond Comic Distributors announced today that it is expanding its Olive Branch, Mississippi operations, taking on an additional 75,000 square feet of space adjacent to its main 600,000 square foot facility. This new space will be built-out to house weekly shipment processing for Olive Branch customers, allowing more room in the main facility for reorder processing and inventory storage.

Diamond projects occupancy of the new space to commence sometime this fall.

This marks the second recent expansion of Diamond’s operations in Olive Branch, as an additional 100,000 square foot facility was leased late last year to house and process reorders for slower-selling backlist items.

“We look forward to implementing this phase of our plan to expand and improve our operations in Olive Branch,” said Diamond’s new Vice President of Operations, John Wurzer.  “In recent years, the comic book specialty market has seen significant growth in both sales and the number of SKUs which we distribute. Diamond is investing in more space, as well as in enhanced materials handling and order processing systems, to accommodate this higher volume, and to prepare for continued, robust growth in the future."
