POSITION:  Senior Marketing Associate

LOCATION:  1940 Greenspring Drive, Timonium, MD

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Marketing Associate will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager in the execution of marketing strategies for Alliance Game Distributors and to maintain the various marketing databases and schedules to support that execution.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain and edit product description, support documents, and images in internal databases.
  • Proofread articles for Game Trade Magazine, Game Trade Media, catalogs, sales flyers, social media posts, and website articles. Provide final proofing of printer pdfs before approval to print.
  • Maintain a schedule of Big Picture stories for the Alliance Alert to utilize the placement to the maximum benefit of Alliance and key vendors. Manage and curate all content of Alliance Alert in coordination with the Marketing Manager.
  • Manage content and news stories on the Game Trade Magazine (GTM) Website.
  • Assist the GTM Editor with reviewing appropriate items and utilize NIRs to develop marketing copy.
  • Assist GTM Editor with enforcing magazine deadlines with the Purchasing department and key vendors.
  • Maintain and curate targeted and general email lists to comply with all legal standards and company needs.
  • Compile weekly short solicit lists for use by sales and enhanced marketing focus.
  • Assist other staff in the department with posting relevant stories and content to Alliance social media.
  • Must be able to travel to assist with the planning and execution of trade shows and Alliance hosted events.
  • All other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, or similar area of study, or related degree with equivalent professional qualifications;
  • Minimum of 2 years of technical marketing skills;
  • Relevant product and industry knowledge preferred;
  • Experience with relevant software applications;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Formal presentation skills necessary;
  • Experience planning and executing events;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Strategic and creative thinking necessary;
  • Competent problem analysis and problem solving;
  • Must have team leadership skills;
  • Ability to be persuasive and adaptable;
  • Ability to make decisions using sound judgement
