No caption.Cartoon Network has announced that the animated original movie based on Phil Hester’s Firebreather from Image Comics will air in the U.S. on Wednesday, November 24 at 7 p.m. EST.

According to Cartoon Network’s original press release, “Firebreather tells the story of awkward teenager Duncan Rosenblatt, a typical high school kid in most respects, but atypical in one very big way: his dad is a fire-breathing dragon, and Duncan’s destiny is to protect the earth. Duncan must go to school, try to fit in, and in his off time, fulfill his destiny. Created and co-executive-produced by Phil Hester (The Wretch), Firebreather is executive-produced by Julia Pistor (Lemony Snicket) and co-executive-produced by Andy Kuhn (Freedom Ring), and Jim Kreig (Ben 10: Alien Force) joins as writer.”

Both Firebreather trade paperbacks that have been released by Image to date are currently stocked and available for immediate delivery for retailers that want to make the most of this upcoming Cartoon Network debut.
