Slave Labor Graphics Chooses DBD

.html
SLG Publishing and Diamond Book Distributors (DBD) have reached an agreement naming Diamond the exclusive U.S. and non-exclusive worldwide distributor of the publisher's Slave Labor and Amaze Ink imprints' English-language graphic novels to the bookstore, library, warehouse club, mass merchandise, and specialty markets.

The deal allows SLG to continue selling its products through certain other specialty market venues.

Founded in 1986 by President & Owner Dan Vado, SLG Publishing's Slave Labor Graphics imprint has released a number of acclaimed comics series, trade paperbacks, and graphic novels, including Lenore, Trashed, Waiting Place, Gloom Cookie, Squee, and many others. In 1995, SLG launched its Amaze Ink imprint, which publishes such all-ages, genre-oriented titles as Skeleton Key, The Replacement God, Mister Blank, and Sleeping Dragons.

"Dan Vado's love for the comics medium shines through in everything his company offers," said Diamond Vice President of Purchasing Bill Schanes. "His respect for the art form's history and clear vision of what it can accomplish in the future makes SLG increasingly important to the success of the comics industry."

"My relationship with Diamond has been excellent over the past 16 years," said Vado. "Choosing them for our bookstore distribution was just a natural outgrowth of that good relationship. I expect that good things are going to come from this and I am looking forward to working with Diamond to further my goals of world domination, or at least better distribution."
