Jack Russell was a typical California teenager until his 18th birthday, when the curse of the Darkhold -- a forbidden tome of arcane knowledge -- took hold, cursing him with lycanthropy, making him a Werewolf by Night. Created by Gerry Conway and Mike Ploog in 1972, the earliest adventures of the lupine hero can be found in the Essential Werewolf by Night Volume 1 TP (AUG051986D), solicited in the August Previews. The character's popularity has remained strong throughout the years, and with a Dimension Films-distributed movie slated to begin filming soon, demand can only increase for Werewolf by Night collectibles.
Designed and sculpted by Art Asylum's Rudy Garcia, this 6"-tall bust depicts Jack in his werewolf form, while the base features the dreaded Darkhold tome, the key to his curse. Limited to 2,500 pieces worldwide, this bust features a hand-numbered base, matching box and a Certificate of Authenticity.
