DC Comics Editors Promoted

.html
DC Comics has promoted Shelly Bond and Peter Tomasi to the positions of Group Editor - Vertigo and Senior Editor, respectively.

Bond - the editor of Vertigo titles including Fables, American Century, Death: At Death's Door, and Lucifer, and co-editor of The Sandman: Endless Nights - first came to the publisher as an assistant editor in 1993, just as the Vertigo line was being launched. Before arriving at DC, she was an editor at Comico: The Comic Company, a video/film editor, and a talent agent. Some of her other notable Vertigo projects include The Invisibles, Heavy Liquid, Proposition Player, Terminal City, and The Sandman Presents: The Thessaliad, among others.

"Shelly has brought her pop culture sensibility, keen eye for talent, and shrewd editorial style to many books over the years," said Karen Berger, VP - Executive Editor, Vertigo. "She brought Bill Willingham back to DC, and, as co-editor on Endless Nights, landed European superstar artists Milo Manara and Miguelanxo Prado for this prestigious project."

Tomasi, who is currently the editor of such popular DC Universe titles as Aquaman, JSA, Hawkman, and H-E-R-O, first joined the publisher in 1993 as an assistant editor. Since then, he has been an instrumental part of such series as Kingdom Come, Hitman, and many others. Before coming to DC, Tomasi worked in film and video production.

"Along with editing such revitalized projects as JSA, Aquaman, and Hawkman, Peter has also made it his priority to work with a number of noted non-comics authors on upcoming projects," said Dan DiDio, VP - Editorial. "He's also busily developing a number of large-scale projects for next year."
