DC Comics’ NYCC Batman Flipbook Giveaway Announced

Retailers attending the New York Comic Con Retailer Appreciation Breakfast will go “batty” for DC Comics’ just-announced giveaway – available exclusively to breakfast attendees as part of a “Retailer Thank You Pack” – a Batman: The Dark Knight / Batman Incorporated Flipbook featuring covers by fan-favorite artists David Finch and Yannick Paquette!

As previously announced, from 8:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. ET on October 8, Diamond, Dark Horse Comics, DC Comics, and Marvel Comics will host a special New York Comic Con Retailer Appreciation Breakfast in room 1A-08 of the Jacob K. Javits Center.

Not only will Diamond customers attending the breakfast receive free admission for all three days of NYCC (including Professional Hours from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. immediately following breakfast), but they'll also pick up special limited edition giveaways in a “Retailer Thank You Pack” courtesy of participating publishers, including DC’s Batman: The Dark Knight / Batman Incorporated Flipbook

The flipbook is presented in ashcan format, boasting preview pages (not the entire book) from both books in black & white, featuring virgin art with no lettering on the pages. This giveaway celebrates the “new direction” one of DC’s most popular characters is undertaking, with all-new titles by Paquette & bestselling writer Grant Morrison and Finch, making his comics writing debut.

In Morrison & Paquette’s Batman Incorporated #1 (SEP100156D, $3.99), Batman begins a new phase in his war on evil, bringing to Gotham’s streets – and the rest of the world, too – the boardroom tactics that have made Wayne Enterprises a megalithic, internationally renowned corporation.
