REMINDER: Diamond Adds UPC, ISBN, EAN to Invoice Files
At the request of retailers, Diamond is enhancing the alternate version of
its U.S. invoice data files, beginning with invoices for May 5.
Currently, the alternate version of the U.S. Invoice Data files contain the following information in the following order:
• Units Shipped (How many of the item in question you received.)
• Item Code
• Item Description (The item's title, from the Previews Order Form.)
• Retail Price
• Unit Price
• Invoice Amount
• Category Code (The Diamond category code, from Previews on Disk.)
• Order Type (Whether Initial, Reorder, Order Increase, etc.)
• Processed As Field (item codes that were processed as a different item code in Diamond's systems)
• Order Number
The new files will have three additional fields -- UPC code, ISBN code, and EAN code -- appearing in that order after the "Order Number" field.
"By adding these codes to the alternate version of the invoice data files, we hope to be able to help retailers track and maintain their inventories more efficiently," said Diamond Vice President of Marketing Roger Fletcher.
U.S. customers can get their Invoice Data files at https://retailer.diamondcomics.com/main/current_invoice.asp.
