Diamond Announces February-March Trade Show Schedule
Diamond representatives will spend late February and March meeting
retailers and consumers at three major venues spanning the U.S.
● MegaCon (February 25-27, Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, FL): Now in its 11th year, MegaCon is one of the largest comic book, gaming, and anime trade shows in the Southeast. MegaCon will also be promoting Free Comic Book Day, with advertisements running in the show program. Diamond Field Representative Eric Hitchcock and Customer Service Representative Mary Bongiovano will be on hand to meet with retailers and promote various products from Previews to consumers attending the show.
● GAMA (March 14-17, Riviera Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, NV): Diamond is teaming up with sister company Alliance Game Distributors to meet with retailers and showcase a broad selection of products at the Game Manufacturers Association's annual trade show. Diamond Vice President of Purchasing Bill Schanes, Purchasing Brand Manager (Games) Lee Butman, and Marketing Associate Kevin Byrne will be joined by Alliance President Dan Hirsch, Executive Vice President David Cooke, Chief Financial Officer Charlie Tyson, Vice President of Purchasing Mark Easterday, Customer Service Director Michael Webb, Marketing Manager/Game Trade Magazine Editor Phyllis Opolko, Marketing Supervisor/Game Trade Magazine Managing Editor Andrew Smith, Sales Managers Mark Aquino and John Jordan, and Sales Representatives Jenelle Risse and Karen Scofield. The Diamond/Alliance booth (#801) will serve as a showcase of special items that are available from each company. Diamond and Alliance will also offer giveaways and hold prize drawings.
● Wizard World Los Angeles (March 18-20, Long Beach, CA): Diamond Field Representative Dave Hawksworth and Customer Service REpresentative Dylan Lange will be manning the Diamond booth at Wizard World's second L.A. show, which will feature stars of both the comics and film industries, including comics legends Stan Lee and George Pérez, writer/artist Michael Turner (Superman/ Batman), illustrator Alex Ross (Kingdom Come), and Buffy creator/Serenity writer/director Joss Whedon, among many others. Hawksworth & Lange will greet retailers and consumers while passing out complimentary copies of Previews, among other various goodies.
