Sirius Entertainment Signs with Diamond for Bookstore Distribution

Diamond Book Distributors has reached an agreement with Sirius Entertainment naming Diamond as the exclusive North American distributor of the publisher's English-language graphic novels to various markets.

The deal allows Sirius to continue selling its products through certain other book market venues.

Founded in 1992, Sirius Entertainment helped launch the career of J. Michael Linsner, the superstar artist behind the fan-favorite character, Dawn. In the years since, the Unadilla, NY-based publisher has maintained a strict dedication to producing high quality comics material designed to appeal to a wide range of readers, and is currently home to such acclaimed titles as Drew Hayes's Poison Elves, Jill Thompson's Scary Godmother, Daniel Schaffer's Dogwitch and Mark Crilley's Akiko.

“Fans of humor titles, all-ages adventure, Goth-tinged fantasy, and more can all find something to suit their tastes at Sirius,” said Diamond Vice President of Purchasing Bill Schanes, “making it a publisher that mainstream bookstore buyers are sure to be interested in.”

Sirius publisher Robb Horan expressed the company's excitement with the arrangement this way: “This is going to be fun. There is simply no other company that can sell comic books and graphic novels better than Diamond in any market place. We take great comfort in their vast distribution experience and reliable business practices.”

“For more than 10 years, Sirius has been a staple of the specialty market,” Schanes added, “and we look forward to helping it find new venues for its products in the years to come.”
