Image Comics Bolsters Relationship with DBD UK
Image Comics and Diamond Book Distributors UK (DBD UK) have
reached an agreement naming DBD UK the exclusive distributor of Image's
English-language graphic novels to various markets in the United Kingdom and
other countries.
Founded in 1992 by seven of the industry's hottest talents -- including Erik Larsen, Todd McFarlane, Marc Silvestri, and Jim Valentino -- Image has gone on to become the third largest comics publisher in the United States. With its two partner studios -- Todd McFarlane Productions and Top Cow Productions -- the Image umbrella is responsible for some of comicdom's most widely read, iconic characters and stories, publishing both creator-owned material and licensed properties that include Spawn, Witchblade, Invincible, Battle of the Planets, Tomb Raider, and more.
“Since its historic founding, Image has truly renovated the comics industry,” said Diamond Vice President of Purchasing Bill Schanes. “We're sure its vast library of properties will be an asset for audiences in the United Kingdom.”
