Monthly Listing of EANs for DC Titles Now Available from Retailer Services Area
Acting on retailer suggestions, and in conjunction with DC Comics, Diamond
has announced that European Article Numbers (EANs) for applicable upcoming DC
titles are now available from the "Ordering" page of Diamond Online's Retailer
Services Area.
Retailers should note that the first wave of DC titles with EANs are arriving in stores now. DC has also announced that, effective with currently shipping titles, its trade paperback collected editions will feature only EANs. The Direct Sales UPC on the inside front cover of these titles has been eliminated. (Please Note: DC's January 17 Direct Channel identified EANs as “book trade Universal Product Codes.” The terms are interchangeable.)
Available as a Comma Separated Values (.CSV) file, the DC EAN list will be updated monthly. Additionally, each file will be available from the "Ordering" page for two months. (For example, a list of February-solicited DC books with EANs is currently available. Once the March 2006 file is posted, the February file will continue to be available until the April 2006 file is posted, and so on.)
Additionally, a .CSV listing of EANs for previously solicited DC titles that are shipping with EANs, but were not announced as such at the time of their solicitation, is available at https://retailer.diamondcomics.com/main/file_downloads/dcean.csv.
