Diamond Receives ComicBooks For Kids! President’s Award

 

The Board of Directors of ComicBooks For Kids! have announced their 2018 annual awards, which seek to reward those organizations within the industry that have been instrumental in providing support for children across the United States in hospitals and cancer centers. Diamond Comic Distributors is the proud recipient of their President’s Award.

The President’s Award recognizes an organization that is neither a retailer nor publisher and has had the largest impact on supporting the children across the United States with comic books and related materials. 

“Your team, Diamond Comic Distributors, has been instrumental in providing assistance across multiple lines of your business including time at your 2018 Summit, your support with Free Comic Book Day and Halloween ComicFest, as well as processing excess inventory to us at no cost to the publisher. That is only the tip of the iceberg!” said Mark Weiss, Founder and President of ComicBooks For Kids!

Diamond was given a plaque from ComicBooks For Kids! to commemorate this achievement. 

ComicBooks For Kids! also presents an award for Publisher of the Year and Retailer of the Year, to recognize the efforts of comic book publishers and retailers in supporting children across the United States and providing them with comic book materials. IDW Publishing was presented with the Publisher of the Year award, while Hooked On Comics in Myerstown, Pennsylvania was presented with the Retailer of the Year award.
