Entertainment Companies Merge to Become Charlton Media Group
Avignon Films and SIS Graphics have merged with ACG Comics to form the new
entity, Charlton Media Group.
Two years in the making, the merger of the three companies will better enable them to utilize their combined resources and expertise, permitting Charlton Media to expand into areas such as film, multimedia, books, CD publishing, and web commerce.
The merger also enables comics fans to experience an all-new color and black-and-white line of Charlton Comics and graphic novels. The all-new Charlton line will offer a mixture of choice color and black-and-white reprints, projects utilizing licensed and revised characters, as well as creator-owned material.
"It's a new age," said Charlton Media Group Vice President and Controller John Lipsz, "and we are open for business."
