Held on March 19-21 at Los Angeles, CA's Long Beach Convention Center, Wizard World Los Angeles gave attendees the chance to interact with comic book and entertainment industry luminaries. In addition to Guest of Honor/filmmaker/comics writer/retailer Kevin Smith, other notable appearances included Marvel Studios Chairman and CEO Avi Arad, actor Selma Blair, filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro, actor James Franco, filmmaker Jonathan Henseigh, producer Gale Anne Hurd, actor Thomas Jane, Marvel Comics Chairman Emeritus Stan Lee, actor Kevin Nash, actor Ron Perlman, actor Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, painter Alex Ross, Image Comics Co-Founder/Top Cow Productions Founder Marc Silvestri, Aspen MTL Inc. Founder Michael Turner, and others.

Wizard World Los Angeles is the fourth addition to the Wizard World series, which also includes shown in Philadelphia (May 21-23), Chicago (August 8-10), and Texas (November 5-7).

"The convergence of comic books and Hollywood has created an ideal environment for us to establish ourselves on the West Coast," said Wizard Chairman and CEO Gareb Shamus. "Wizard World Los Angeles has now become a critical event for our marketing partners and industry professionals alike, so I am excited to announce that Wizard World will be back in Southern California March 18-20, 2005, with an even bigger show that will give fans many more reasons to camp outside the Long Beach Convention Center."

According to Wizard, 2003's Wizard World events drew a combined total of more than 85,000 people, resulting in an increase of 40% over 2002, and approximately 50,000 people are expected to attend this year's Wizard World Chicago. Each Wizard World event will feature the most recognized and respected figures and companies in comic book, toys, anime, manga, and video games, as well as stars of film and television.
