Diamond, IMAX Bring Thor's Thunder to FCBD
To help drive traffic to your store on May 7 for Free Comic Book Day 2011, Diamond and IMAX have partnered for a special cross-promotion for Thor: An IMAX 3D Experience, putting FCBD11 front & center in connection with the IMAX 3D release of Marvel Studios' upcoming adventure and providing you with an ideal publicity opportunity in advance of the movie's May 6 launch.
IMAX will promote FCBD11 to their tens of thousands of IMAX.com subscribers via an upcoming email blast, in addition to highlighting the event on IMAX.com. They will also post messages about FCBD11 via their social media channels, including Facebook and Twitter.
IMAX theatres playing Thor will receive suggestions for various local extensions of this partnership – and they are being encouraged to touch base with you, their local comic retailer! Cross-promotional ideas might include Store Promotions & Displays, Ticket Stub Promotions, Theatre Lobby Displays, Store Fliers, and more.* After all, this is a legendary Marvel Comics hero with decades of adventures and generations of fans -- the possibilities are limitless!
As with our previous collaborations with IMAX for Star Trek and Watchmen, Diamond will support the IMAX partnership with ads on websites and in various newsletters, as well as other initiatives.
