Free Comic Book Day Spotlight: Devil's Due!
Each day throughout the rest of January and through to the February 2005
online order deadline, Diamond Daily will turn the spotlight on a Gold or Silver
Free Comic Book Day publisher. We hope that this will allow you to make the most
informed buying decision when purchasing your FCBD
editions.
Remember: You must buy at least $50.00 worth of the Gold Sponsor titles in order to be a participating retailer for FCBD 2005. You must also own a storefront business and agree to give away the comics on May 7, 2005.
Devil's Due signs up for its first tour of duty as a Free Comic Book Day sponsor, bringing along G.I. Joe and others for the ride in the Devil's Due's Free Comic Book Day Special Edition (FEB050016J, $0.25).
Remember: In order to be considered a participating retailer, you must order at least 20 copies of this title, as well as the quantities listed for the other Gold Sponsors.
A Quick Synopsis:
For present and new readers alike, Devil's Due offers a sampling of our finest titles! Looking for a fresh, more realistic approach to super heroes? Curious about the buzz surrounding G.I. Joe? Obsessed with Capcom video games? Then this book is for you! Included in this special edition are tales featuring Defex, from the sell-out Aftermath line; G.I. Joe; and Udon's Darkstalkers! And the best part of all...? It's free! This flip book, features Udon's Darkstalkers on one side, with G.I. Joe and Defex on the other.
Why It's Good for Free Comic Book Day (And You!):
The series and properties represented in Devil's Due's anthology represent a wealth of pre-existing interest and recognition in the mainstream culture. Whether it's the time-tested G.I. Joe or the widely known characters of Capcom video games, these stories will catch the attention of casual or new customers, getting them to that first crucial stage: Picking up and reading a comic book.
The inclusion of Devil's Due's original content such as Defex is shrewd, as those readers who are compelled to pick up the book for its recognizable licensed content will also be exposed to the original properties and become interested in them as well.
How to Use It:
With a variety of stories inside, the Devil's Due FCBD edition offers you an opportunity to hook new readers on several different series from the publisher, making it a valuable sales tool that can mean more than interest on a single series. Be sure to remind those who take a Devil's Due's Free Comic Book Day Special Edition that there is more where it came from, that the publisher's line continues each month with new stories. You'll get them coming back for more, and not just for one series, either!
For those G.I. Joe fans who are looking for more, be sure to stock up on Devil's Due's G.I. Joe trade paperbacks!
