Dark Horse Adds Flexibility, Discount Incentives to Gacha Program!
Expanded from the June 2004 Diamond Dialogue:
Effective with the June Previews, Dark Horse Comics is introducing two major changes to its popular Gacha Toy Capsule Program, making it easier and more profitable than ever for retailers to participate in this lucrative opportunity!
Improvements to the program include:
• Smaller Assortments: Gacha Capsule Toy Assortments, which were previously offered in 200-piece lots, are now offered in lots of 100, making it easier to stock and restock a wider variety of these collectible toys!
• Bigger Savings: Retailers who fulfill their initial 1,800-capsule requirement can now receive a higher discount!
Retailers can elect to participate in the program under one of two plans:
• Plan #1: Retailers buy 800 capsules (eight 100-piece assortments) upon entering the program and agree to purchase an additional 1,000 capsules (10 100-piece assortments) over six months. With this plan, the retailer receives a free Gacha vending machine worth $600.00!
• Plan #2: Retailers buy the Gacha vending machine outright for a special price of $400.00, have no minimum order requirement for Gacha capsule assortments, and can purchase Gacha toys at 45% off for one assortment ($55.00 net cost each), or 50% off for two assortments ($50.00 net cost each).
Each Gacha assortment contains between 5-11 different collectibles, each with a suggested retail price (SRP) of $1.00. With new assortments each month -- featuring hot properties like Marvel Comics, Hellboy, The Simpsons, Disney, The Lord of the Rings, and many others -- retailers can tailor their orders to appeal to a wide range of consumers. Please Note: Individual case assortments are also available for order without a machine.
