Marvel Comics Promotes Wedding of Black Panther & Storm with Free Postcards

To announce its "Wedding of Black Panther & Storm" event, which begins in Storm #1 (DEC052045D) and continues in Black Panther #14 (JAN062011D), Marvel Comics is pulling out all the stops, including free promotional postcards retailers can use to advertise the event!

To get consumers in the spirit for the nuptials, Marvel is providing Diamond's top 3,000 accounts with a bundle of 100 free postcards. Eligible retailers will receive one bundle of 100 postcards, which will include checklists and cover images for giveaways in their stores. To view images of this promotional item, click here.

Retailers will also be able to purchase additional 100-count bundles of Wedding of Black Panther & Storm Promotional Postcards (DEC058102J) at a net cost of $2.50 per bundle by the Final Order Cut-off (FOC) date of Thursday, January 26. Marvel advises retailers to place orders early, as there will be a limited supply printed and allocations may occur. All postcards are scheduled to arrive in stores by February 15.

Carrying a Final Order Cut-Off (FOC) Date of Thursday, February 2, Storm #1 is scheduled to ship February 22, while Black Panther #14 (FOC Thursday, March 2) is scheduled to ship March 22.

Storm is one of Marvel Comics' strongest, most popular female characters, but before she mastered her powers and became a costumed heroine, she was simply Ororo, an orphan longing for love - which is found in the arms of a young warrior prince named T'Challa. Thus begins the 32-page Storm #1, written by New York Times-bestselling author Eric Jerome Dickey (Thieves Paradise), first of a six-issue limited series that looks at the formative years of both Ororo and the future Black Panther.
