Diamond Select Announces Free Stargate SG-1 Figure Promotion
Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles (DST) & MGM Consumer Products have announced a special promotional program that’ll give fans the chance to get a free Stargate SG-1 Elite Serpent Guard Action Figure this spring!
Under the terms of this promotional mailing program, consumers who purchase any four figures from DST’s Stargate Series 1 Core Assortment (JAN063816U) -- scheduled to debut this June -- will be able to redeem their UPCs for a free, exclusive Elite Serpent Guard Action Figure, featuring a repainted armor design.
“We’re very pleased at the response ourStargate SG-1 figures have received and we’re glad to be able to offer fans another much-requested figure to add to their collections,” said DST Director Chuck Terceira.
The first series of Stargate SG-1 figures will feature expertly sculpted representations of Colonel Jack O’Neill, General Jack O’Neill, Daniel Jackson and a Serpent Guard, as well as a Previews Exclusive Black Ops O’Neill Action Figure (JAN063817U). With a second series due out later this year, fans will be able to build their own figure-sized Stargate with pieces included in these releases. Retailers should also note that DST will help build interest for the assortment’s release with their Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) 2006 offering, the Stargate: O’Neill FCBD Action Figure 10-Piece Bundle (FEB060042J).
Stargate SG-1 is currently filming its 10th season, and Stargate: Atlantis is entering its third season. Both SCI FI series have received critical acclaim for their writing, acting, special effects and more. With over two million viewers per episode, the Stargate franchise is as strong as ever.
