FUNimation Channel Adds New Anime Series to Lineup

FUNimation Entertainment has announced the addition of two new anime series – Revolutionary Girl Utena and His and Hers Circumstances – to its 24-hour anime network, The FUNimation Channel, and retailers can profit from this news with related products from Diamond!

Enoki Films’ hit anime Revolutionary Girl Utena made its debut on the network on November 20 and is currently airing three times daily. The property details the exploits of Utena, a young girl who wanders the streets after the death of her parents. When she reaches her lowest point, a prince comes to her rescue, telling her she must grow up to be a brave noblewoman. From that day on she strives to fulfill this prophecy. Years later, she receives a mysterious rose-crested ring, and thoughts of her prince return.

The second Enoki series, His and Hers Circumstances (a.k.a. Kare Kano), is scheduled to begin airing in January, and deals with the love-tinged rivalry between students Yukino Miyazawa and Souichirou Arima, and Yukino’s revenge for loosing the spotlight to him.

Available in the Los Angeles area on Digital Television and Verizon’s FiOS TV Premier Package, FUNimation Channel also offers syndicated two-hour blocks of anime as well.
