American Anime Awards Winners Announced
Winners of the inaugural American Anime Awards were announced at a gala event at the New Yorker Hotel in Manhattan on Saturday, February 24 during the 2007 New York Comic Con, spiking consumer demand for the decorated properties!
Dedicated to celebrating the global animation phenomenon, the awards serve to bring even greater attention to the growing fields of anime and manga. Hosted by some of the most famous voice actors in the anime industry – including Christine Auten, Jessica Boone, Shelley Calene-Black, Luci Christian, Alice Fulks, Hillary Haag, Taylor Hannah & Serena Varghese – the first annual American Anime Awards will also be broadcast March 23 on cable’s Anime Network, and then be made available for video-on-demand April 12. Fans voted for their favorites online through January 31, and the top five nominees from each category were revealed earlier this month. The winners in each category are as follows:
