Dark Horse-Based Hellboy: Blood & Iron Animated Movie Premieres March 17 on Cartoon Network
After winning over preview audiences at 2007’s New York Comic Con last weekend, Mike Mignola’s monstrous paranormal investigator returns to Cartoon Network on March 17 in the Hellboy: Blood & Iron animated film, firing up consumer enthusiasm for related merchandise from Dark Horse Comics!
Many of the principles involved in making Sony Pictures’ 2004 Hellboy motion picture a success reunited for Anchor Bay Entertainment’s Hellboy: Sword of Storms Animated Movie DVD (DEC064843J), which premiered last October on Cartoon Network and paved the way for Blood & Iron. Revolution Studios, producers of the live-action Hellboy film, cooperated with IDT Entertainment in the design of both animated features, with Mignola and director Guillermo del Toro serving as consulting producers and Dark Horse Founder and President Mike Richardson as one of the Executive Producers. Additionally, star Ron Perlman lent his vocal talents to the gravelly voiced Hellboy, and Selma Blair reprised her role as pyrokinetic Liz Sherman.
