Image/Top Cow’s Witchblade Manga Trailer Version 2.0 Debuts Online

Image Comics and Top Cow Productions have announced that a new trailer promoting its Witchblade Takeru Manga #1 (Sumita Cover A: DEC061899D, Gossett Cover B: DEC061900D) is available for viewing online!
 
The updated video trailer for Witchblade Takeru Manga – created by Matt Swift at Swift Graphics – debuted at the New York Comic Con and ran on a continuous loop on two screens at the Top Cow booth. The initial trailer premiered in late December and quickly accumulated over 6,000 downloads in the first few weeks of availability. In this bold reimagining of the Witchblade mythos, Takeru is a typical teenager being raised by nuns in a Buddhist monastery. Plagued by dreams of a strange claw locked in a box in the monastery, Takeru is unaware that her destiny is to become the next to bear the ancient Witchblade! Originally serialized in Japan’s popular magazine, Champion Red, the series is written by Witchblade Anime head scribe Sumita Kazasa and features art by Kobayashi Yasuko. Considered canon in the Witchblade universe, this uniquely Japanese tale is collected for American consumers in standard comic format and in full color for the first time!

In addition to the in-stock first issue, upcoming issues include Witchblade Takeru Manga #2 Sumita Cover A (JAN071966D) & Gonzo Cover B (JAN071967D) and #3 (FEB071926D).
