Glendale, AZ's Dr. Fantasy’s Comics Books 'N More Celebrates Its Grand Opening
On September 17, Owners Jeff and Cassandra Norris welcomed customers to their Grand Opening event for Dr. Fantasy’s Comic Books 'N More at 7480 W. Bell Rd. in Glendale, AZ.
In addition to store’s wide selection of comics, graphic novels, games, statues, and collectibles, the event featured costumed guest appearances by members of the 501st Legion, Arizona Avengers, and Justice League of Arizona; local artists sketching on site; hot dogs, chips, drinks, and cookies; balloons; and more. Not only was the Grand Opening well attended, but it also drew in a lot of families, and young readers could be found discovering new favorite comics throughout the day.
"It was very exciting to see the great number of people of all ages that came out to support Dr. Fantasy's grand opening event," said Diamond Field Sales Manager Tim Kartman. "There were fans in costumes, hot dogs on the grill, and of course plenty of great comics. Jeff and Cassandra hit the ground running with their new comic store, as it was very evident that everyone was having a wonderful time!"
"We would like to thank and acknowledge the Phoenix area comics community for their show of support and enthusiasm for our new store," stated Owners Jeff and Cassandra Norris. "The turnout was even better than we had hoped for, and we were particularly happy to see so many children being introduced to comics by their parents. We would like to thank Tim Kartman and everyone at Diamond for their help in making our Grand Opening an event to remember!"
