Kotobukiya unleashes the power of Top Cow Comics' Witchblade as realized in the new anime series from Gonzo with two 1/6 scale ARTFX Statues imported from Japan and available exclusively in North America from Diamond Comic Distributors.

With its action-packed tales of New York police detective Sara Pezzini and the ancient, mystical gauntlet that grants her extraordinary superhuman abilities, Witchblade has been a best selling comic worldwide since its debut in 1995, and the upcoming anime series from Gonzo is one of the most eagerly awaited variations on the title.

Sculpted by the masterful Shunji Hagii (renowned for his work on Kotobukiya’s Star Wars ARTFX series), the statues spotlight:

Masane Amaha, the Japanese wielder of the Witchblade, is brought to life as a gorgeous ARTFX Statue that made Makoto Uno — Gonzo animator and lead character designer for the Witchblade series — proclaim, “It’s perfect!” Masane-chan is posed seductively with her left hand stroking her thigh and tongue licking her right, with her hair in a wild stabbing hook mode as seen in the anime. She stands over 10" tall on a Witchblade logo base. 

Maria, the second statue in the line, portrays the cruel, if deceptively young, Neo-Geen combat soldier who works for the ominous NSWF (National Scientific Welfare Foundation). Seated on a display base, she measures approximately 10" tall.

Each statue carries a retail price of $59.99, and is scheduled to ship in April 2007.
