2000 AD Now Offered as Single Issues in PREVIEWS

cover

Effective with the August PREVIEWS, the legendary British comic magazine 2000AD will be offered as single issues, rather than in monthly packs of four to five issues.

The first single issues offered are #1754 (AUG111172), #1755 (AUG111173), #1756 (AUG111174), and #1757 (AUG111175), each priced at $5.

Regarded as “the cutting edge powerhouse of British comics” since its debut in 1977, 2000 AD has been the home to some of the world’s best-known characters and creators. Its award-winning line-up of titles include Judge Dredd, Rogue Trooper, ABC Warriors and Strontium Dog, and its honor roll of writers and artists includes such luminaries as Alan Moore, Mark Millar, Garth Ennis, Mick McMahon, Frank Quietly, Grant Morrison, Rob Williams, Boo Cook, and many others.

“This is a great step forward in 2000 AD’s mission to bring the best of British to American readers," said 2000 AD Editor Matt Smith, "and we’re delighted that we are to become a weekly publication in the US, just like we are in the UK.

“Twenty dollars for one of the monthly packs is a lot of cash to hand over for a single purchase, especially for what to many in the US remains an unknown quantity, so by distributing each issue every week we’re hoping American readers will be tempted by our blend of high-octane action and first class comics talent.”
