MechWarrior: Dark Age Comes to Light

.html
This month, WizKids, makers of the award-winning Mage Knight, Mage Knight Dungeons, and the record-shattering HeroClix collectable miniatures games, will release the newest game set in the BattleTech universe, the MechWarrior: Dark Age Collectible Miniatures Game (CMG).

Following the successful May release of WizKids' HeroClix, MechWarrior: Dark Age Starter Sets and Booster Packs will feature more than 100 pre-assembled and pre-painted miniature figures representing futuristic infantry, vehicles, and (of course) the mighty 'Mechs. This makes MechWarrior: Dark Age the first CMG to combine arms battles in the futuristic setting of the fan-favorite BattleTech miniatures game and the MechWarrior computer game.

As with Mage Knight and HeroClix figures, each MechWarrior: Dark Age figure will be mounted on a combat dial containing all the information a player needs. The combat dial allows for quick and easy game play without extensive rulebooks or record-keeping.

MechWarrior: Dark Age will be available in both Starter Sets (JUN023791, $19.95) and Booster Packs (JUN023792, $9.95). Each Starter Set will contain one 'Mech, two vehicles, five infantry, a rulebook, a dossier containing information on seven factions, a Special Equipment Card, a flexible ruler, ID stickers, and three dice. Each Booster Pack will contain one 'Mech, one vehicle, and two infantry. (Booster Packs containing a unique 'Mech will also contain a special dossier describing the history of the 'Mech and its pilot.)

More information about MechWarrior: Dark Age -- including an interview with the game's Lead Designer, Matt Robinson -- can be found in the June Previews.
