Space Ghost Lives Again in DC Mini-series

For an entire generation of TV viewers, Space Ghost holds a treasured place as one of animation's premier super-heroes. DC Comics and three of comics' biggest names will join forces to delve into the previously unrevealed origins of that enduring creation in the action-packed, six-issue Space Ghost mini-series.

Cartoon Network's programming of the classic Space Ghost series on its sister network, Boomerang, has kept the animated icon fresh in the minds of readers for decades. But this project promises to deliver a serious and surprising portrayal of the character that no Space Ghost fan will want to miss.

Space Ghost #1 (SEP040353, $2.95) -- written by Joe Kelly (Superman, JLA) and painted by Ariel Olivetti (JLA: Haven) -- will set the grim tone by showing how a young police officer tries to end the corruption in the elite space force that employs him, at the cost of his family, and his soul.

Sporting an electrifying painted cover by Alex Ross, who will provide cover art for the entire series, the first issue is scheduled to ship on November 17.
