Dark Horse Launches Rocket Comics

Dark Horse Comics will continue to expand the comic book storytelling landscape with a new publishing initiative: Rocket Comics, the first titles of which are solicited in the May Previews.

With this adventure-themed imprint, Dark Horse is enabling some of the industry's finest storytellers to dream up action-packed titles that are sure to capture the imaginations of new readers, and win the interest of longtime comics fans.

The six-title line will commence with the release of two series:

- Go Boy 7: Human Action Machine #1 (MAY030016, $2.99): Written by Tom Peyer and illustrated by talented newcomer Jon Sommariva, this first chapter in an all-new series will chronicle the story of Jonny Zero, a critically injured young boy who loses his parents when their plane is mysteriously attacked, and whose life is saved by an injection of robotic nanoplasm that gives him incredible abilities.

- Hell #1 (MAY030017, $2.99): Brian Augustyn & Todd Demong will introduce readers to Corey Rollins, a young man who investigates the truth behind his father's decade-long disappearance. The military says he went AWOL, but Corey follows the trail to an island called Hell.

Rocket Comics titles premiering in the months ahead will include: Syn, by Keith Giffen, Greg Titus, & Julian Washburn; Galactic, by Jim Krueger, Sanford Greene, & Greg Adams; Lone, by Stuart Moore & Jerome Opeña; and Crush, by Jason Hall & Sean Murphy.
