Gemstone Publishing

Gemstone Publishing was formed by Diamond Comic Distributors President and Chief Executive Officer Steve Geppi as a conduit for his efforts in preserving and promoting the history of the comics medium.

In 1994, Gemstone acquired Overstreet Publications which brought them the heart of Gemstone Publishing's roster of price guides and reference books, the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide. Robert M. Overstreet changed the comic book collecting world with the release of the first edition of the Comic Book Price Guide in 1970. Gemstone Publishing has branched out further to publish new reference books and price guides on comic books and other pop culture collectibles including its recent series of How-To Guides. Gemstone also publishes the widely respected auction and news e-newsletter, Scoop.
