Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Rocks the Box Office

No caption. This weekend's anticipated release of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World film was welcomed by both longtime fans of the source material as well as newcomers now aware of the property. The support the film received resulted in Scott Pilgrim grossing $10.5 million domestically at the box office its opening weekend.

The Edgar Wright-directed film, which received an impressive 80% rating from Rotten Tomatoes, stars Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona Flowers, the girl of Scott's dreams with just a bit of baggage in the form of seven evil ex-boyfriends. The film also stars Captain America-to-be Chris Evans, Kieran Culkin, and Anna Kendrick.
