BOOM! Studios' Irredeemable/Incorruptible Crossover Arrives In December
One was the world's greatest hero turned supervillain. The other was one of the world's great villains turned hero. In the pages of BOOM! Studios' Irredeemable, readers have followed Plutonian, the hero-turned-villain, in his descent into villainy, while Incorruptible has charted the redemption of Max Daring as he finds something greater than himself in the wake of the Plutonian's fall. This December, BOOM! Studios brings the two series together as Mark Waid writes the long-awaited Irredeemable/Incorruptible crossover!
BOOM! Studios offers the first part of this four issue crossover in the 22-page issue of Irredeemable #32 (OCT110916F, $3.99) and the story continues in Incorruptible #25 (OCT110918F, $3.99). These epic new titles from BOOM! Studios are both written by Mark Waid (Kingdom Come, Stan Lee's The Traveller) with Incorruptible's art by Marcio Takara and Irredeemable's art by Diego Barreto.
"This is the crossover we've been waiting to tell," says BOOM! Studios Founder and Chief Executive Officer Ross Richie. "We get to peer deeper into Max Damage's origins. These two iconic characters have been powerhouse adversaries since the first issue and we are thrilled to add to the mythology of both of these great series."
This action-filled arc concludes in January's Irredeemable #33 and Incorruptible #26, offered in the forthcoming November PREVIEWS. Fans have been wanting to see the two characters collide since Mark Waid expanded his Irredeemable universe with Incorruptible, and this crossover event does just that, not only bringing them together in the present but flashing back to the epic story of their first encounter.
Irredeemable and Incorruptible are written by Mark Waid with Incorruptible's art by Marcio Takara and Irredeemable's art by Diego Barreto, with 22 pages of story in each issue. In addition, each issue features a retailer variant cover. Retailers who order 10 copies of the crossover issues' regular covers can purchase a variant cover of the two characters squaring off. The Irredeemable #32 Variant (OCT110917F, $3.99) features a "The Plutonian vs. Max Damage" image, while the Incorruptible #25 Variant (OCT110919F, $3.99) features a "Max Damage vs. The Plutonian" variant.
