DC/Vertigo’s Fables Works Magic for 100th Issue

One of the most acclaimed bestsellers in DC Comics’ Vertigo line marks a crucial turning point for its characters with an issue that’s an event in itself with Fables #100 (AUG100257D, $9.99), a 100-page landmark issue for the Eisner Award-winning series.

Bill Willingham’s tales of classic storybook characters living between two worlds – theirs, and the “real” one – have captivated readers from the first issue. Now, those characters have only one chance of returning to their Fabletown homes, and one of them steps forward to take on the Dark Man for an epic, decisive battle.
