Diamond Dateline Now a Weekly E-Newsletter
![]() |
Diamond’s weekly retailer newsletter, Diamond Dateline, has now ceased print publication and become a more timely online publication, delivered as an HTML email at approximately 4:00 p.m. every Monday.
The information from Dateline’s regular columns -- Authorized Returns, Future Returns, Out of Print, Price Changes, On the Water, Order Adjustments, Product Updates, and Shipping Updates -- remains available via a downloadable PDF, which is available online now.
This new Dateline will deliver the important information that the publication contains in a much more timely fashion, and give customers a new way to access additional, relevant information currently featured in Diamond Daily and on the Diamond Retailer Services Website.
The new Dateline will focus on conveying the most current product and shipping information available within days after its generation, including information on in-stock product and upcoming arrivals. (This will be a significant improvement over the print Dateline, each issue of which ships approximately two weeks after it starts production.)
“We have been looking forward to this phase of Dateline’s evolution for some time,” said Diamond Director of Marketing Dan Manser. “We feel that making it an e-newsletter will deliver information about our vendors’ products and our own services more effectively, right before our customers receive their shipments on Tuesday. We also feel that this change will help them make wise buying decisions and, ultimately, increase their sales.”
Retailers can expect to find relevant articles from the following areas:
• New This Week
• Product Changes
• Back in Stock
• Just Shipped
• On the Water
• Other important announcements & updates
As previously stated, the information from Dateline’s regular columns will continue to be made available via a downloadable PDF. You will find a prominent link to the PDF in the Dateline email each week, and you can access the most recent PDF now by clicking here.
In addition, the email will contain links to existing website- and Daily-based columns for:
• Product Changes
• Price Changes
• Title Changes (from Daily)
• Back in Stock
• Authorized Returns
• Future Returns
• Order Adjustments
• Shipping Updates
• On the Water
• Out of Print
• Next Week’s Releases
• Top 25 Reorders/Advance Reorders
Currently, retailers will receive Diamond Dateline as the same account preferences as they have for Diamond Daily. Retailers can manage their email subscriptions to Diamond Dateline, and to other Diamond emails, by visiting the Customer Preferences & Email Handling section of their My Account page on Diamond Retailer Services Website.
Retailers with additional questions about the new Dateline should contact their Diamond Customer Service Representative.
