Dark Horse Targets ‘Predators’ Fans with Movie Prequel

On July 9, one of the most popular sci-fi franchises of all time returns to cinemas courtesy of FOX’s Predators, and Dark Horse Comics – who published its first Predator comic in 1989 – is there to help you hunt down sales with the Predators series, an official prequel to the film!

Director Robert Rodriguez teams with Dark Horse for an action-packed weekly prequel to his forthcoming Predators film! In this story, a team of Navy Seals in the midst of a firefight find themselves suddenly thrust into darkness, only to awaken in a new and more deadly environment, stalked by a strange enemy. One by one these special-ops officers are killed by an unseen threat, until only one soldier remains. All alone in a strange world, he must do what he knows best – survive against all odds.

Each issue features a lead story, authored by Marc Andreyko with pencils by Guilherme Balbi & inks by José Verissimo, and a back-up tale by writer David Lapham and artists Gabriel Guzman & Mariano Taibo. Written by Paul Tobin with art by Victor Drujiniu & Tony Kordos, Dark Horse’s Predators Movie Adaptation TP (MAY100022V, $6.99) presents the film in a unique way – from the perspective of Isabelle (played in the movie by Alice Braga), a "Black Ops" assassin whisked with a group of modern-day warriors to the predatory aliens’ jungle hunting grounds.
