APPEAL: Before True Blood, Twilight, or Buffy, there was Dark Shadows. Interest in vampires in all works of fiction has increased in recent years, and both fans of the original TV show as well as comic readers looking for a different take on vampires than they've seen lately should be interested in Dark Shadows. This should be especially true for those awaiting Tim Burton's 2012 film based on the show that want to get a feel for the material beforehand.
