DeAgostini’s Star Wars: Official Fig Collection Mags On the Water Now

Retailers who have successfully created demand in their stores for DeAgostini’s Star Wars: The Official Starships and Vehicles Collection Magazines have been anxiously anticipating the arrival of the publisher’s Star Wars: The Official Figure Collection Magazines. While Diamond’s Distribution Centers have received small quantities of DeAgostini product already, we've been waiting for the bulk of it to arrive from a warehouse in New Zealand.

Now, we can confirm that the first wave of magazines are in transit and scheduled to arrive at Diamond warehouses in approximately two weeks, giving issue #1 – Darth Vader (FEB101240H, $14) and #2 – Luke Skywalker (FEB101241H, $14) a tentative in-store date of Wednesday, October 6!

To avoid inundating retailers with too many issues at one time, Diamond will be staggering the release so that two issues will be shipped each week following October 6.

In addition, this shipment will be larger then initially expected, meaning some extras will be available on almost all of these issues. However, this shipment will include all the extras the publisher has to offer, and Diamond will not have any additional quantities once they are sold out.

The extraordinary history of Star Wars is presented in this exceptional magazine and figurine collection. Each episode of the six-film series has contributed memorable characters to the saga – and to pop culture.

Characters ranging from Anakin Skywalker (MAY101302H) to Darth Maul (APR101256H) and Han Solo (APR101257H) are represented in this collection, and each figure is designed under the direct guidance of Lucasfilm to create an exceptional series of accurately sculpted figurines at 1/32-scale. The magazine itself perfectly complements the collection of miniatures, with biographies, anecdotes, images, and more, all obtained from the Lucasfilm archives.
