DC HeroClix: Hypertime Coming
WizKids, makers of the award-winning Mage Knight,
HeroClix, and MechWarrior: Dark Age collectable miniatures games, has
released the second series in its best-selling HeroClix line, DC
HeroClix: Hypertime.
HeroClix has consistently ranked among the top pre-ordered and Reordered game products at Diamond since its release. (All three Hypertime products solicited in July placed second, third, and fourth on Diamond's Top 10 Games Chart in September.) With a schedule of expansions -- for characters from DC, Marvel, and independent comics -- already planned well into 2003, stands poised to maintain that sales performance for retailers.
Hypertime features more than 100 pre-assembled, pre-painted collectable miniature figures representing dozens of individual DC Comics heroes and villains, including fan-favorites such as Superman, Batman, Plastic Man, the Joker, and Harley Quinn. Ranging in rarity level from the most common Rookie at Rarity 1 to Unique at Rarity 6, every collectable figure features its own mix of special powers and abilities, and can be played with all other previous and future HeroClix figures.
The DC HeroClix: Hypertime Starter Set (JUL023627G, $19.95) includes eight random DC character figures, a rulebook, a two-sided map, three scenario cards, a Special Ability Card, tokens, and dice -- everything two players need to play the game! Players can expand their available forces and customize their own super teams by buying DC HeroClix: Hypertime Booster Packs (JUL023626G, $6.95), each of which contains four figures.
The DC HeroClix Premier Edition Boxed Game (JUL023628G, $29.95) -- due in October -- includes 10 DC character figures, a rulebook, two double-sided maps, a Quick-Start rule sheet, a super-powers & abilities card with collector's checklist, tokens, markers, dial-turning ring, and dice.
Please Note: At press time, members of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union remained locked out of ports located along the U.S. West Coast by the Pacific Maritime Association.
