Image/TMP Offer Special Incentive on Spawn: Simony!

Ever since its debut, Todd McFarlane's Spawn has received worldwide acclaim not only for its dark stories of retribution, but for turning away from its main character periodically to study the effects of his “justice” on those around him. To that end, Todd McFarlane Productions and Image Comics are presenting an English-language version of French comic book publisher Semic's fan-favorite Spawn: Simony (MAR041416D2) in this month's Previews.
Produced by the creative team of Jean-François Porcherot, Alex Nikolavitch and Aleksi Briclot, the project finds Spawn's mentor, Cogliostro, attempting to rid himself of the Hellspawn curse. Taking place after the events of Spawn #100 and before Al Simmons became “separated” from his Hellspawn counterpart, this original tale is one of the few projects that McFarlane has allowed an outside publishing company to produce - making this 64-page one-shot a must-have addition to every Spawn fan's collection!
“My company and Semic have had a great long-term business relationship,” said McFarlane. “When they came to me with this story, and I took a look at the artwork, it was a done deal. I was really impressed with the textures and depth of the art and the story; very unique, but still very appropriate to our idea of what the Spawn universe should be.”
Besides offering retailers a can't-miss one-shot that contains a double-length story, added editorial content and striking pin-up art, Spawn: Simony also boasts a unique incentive program for the top 20 Diamond accounts who order the most copies. The retailer who orders the most copies of the one-shot will receive one set of five Spawn Series 25 action figures signed by McFarlane, one Spawn: Simony poster signed by McFarlane and Briclot (only 50 exist), one dustcover signed by McFarlane and Briclot (rare collectible only distributed in Europe) and one signed version of Semic's original French-language Spawn: Simony Act 2 comic book (autographed by McFarlane and Briclot). Accounts #2 through #10 will receive one unsigned Spawn Series 25 action figure set, one signed poster, one signed dustcover and one signed comic book. And finally, Accounts #11 through #20 will receive one signed dustcover and one signed comic book.
