About Our Shop

Favorite Recent Comic Books: Marvel Comics' Thanos Imperative

Special Events: We host a graphic novel club meeting every other Tuesday, and have an annual "Halloweenaversary" event.

Community Involvement: We make various charitable donations.

How was your FCBD event? It coincided with our big store remodel, so we were able to showcase the new look of the store.

What aspect of your store makes you most proud? The sense of community we've built. Our customers have become our friends.

What do you do that's innovative within your store? Our "bad kids" mystique.

What has been your best promotion? The Halloween anniversary sale and our book club event.

What changes have you made over the last six months? We added a wall of bookshelves for trade paperbacks, which opened up the store quite a bit.

Any plans for the next twelve months? We want to build out our back room for gaming.

How did you choose your store name? A customer thought of it.

Comics and Toys rule this corner of the shop as rare collectibles in a lit display case loom in the background. Comicazi's new wall of Trade Paperbacks is an attention grabber with its floor-to-ceiling display. Comicazi owner Michael Burke considers the FTR questionnaire with bemused contempt.

From the Road Photo Report showcases specialty shops like yours from around the country. Submitted by Diamond Outside Sales Managers, the feature appears in Diamond Daily on a recurring basis.
